Understanding Your Child’s Needs

A six-week parent training and support group program beginning Thursday May 2nd and meeting weekly at 7:30pm.

Parenting is hard work! Have you been scratching your head trying to figure out what parenting strategies to use in your family? Or looking for some strategies to calm yourself down or calm your child when frustrated? We are putting together a parent support group utilizing the Whole Brain Child as a spring board to talk through issues such as emotion regulation, skill building and connection. You will learn some practical tools for working through tantrums, sibling conflict, and homework battles. You will gain insight and clarity into your own parenting styles. And you will receive support and encouragement from your fellow imperfect parents (as we all are!) along the way.

Join us as we work together to grow in this wonderful and challenging journey we call parenting!

Who: All parents of kids ages 4+ who are interested in growing as part of a group of fellow imperfect parents without judgement or shame. Attendees may come from two parent or single parent families. For couples, one or both parents are welcome to participate.

When: Thursday evenings, 7:30-8:30pm, beginning May 2nd and continuing weekly through June 6th (six sessions total).

Where: For accessibility reasons, this group will meet remotely via Zoom for all group sessions.

Cost: First session (May 2nd) will be offered as a free introductory session. Remainder of group will have a one-time fee of $100 that covers all costs including staffing and materials for all participants who register by 4/29. Registration fee after 4/29 will increase to $160. Partial scholarships based on financial needs may be available upon request.
