<image:caption>The average cost of a therapy session is $120. Our scholarship program helps to offset these costs depending on each person’s needs. By committing to a monthly donation of any of the below amounts—or any amount you feel inspired to give—you are enabling individuals, couples, and even entire families to receive critical mental health support from our skilled team of providers. Your generosity ensures that faith-based mental health care will be accessible to all who need it, especially those who might otherwise not receive it due to financial hardships.</image:caption>

<image:caption>EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR | SENIOR CLINICIAN “I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of relationships. This is what draws me most to the work of counseling - the opportunity to join with someone in the midst of their life story, often in the midst of its hardest and messiest moments, and to form a therapeutic relationship that can produce wisdom, courage, compassion, and insight. As much as I love the deep introspective work and clinical skill building that comes with counseling, what I really love most are the unexpected bits of humor and rapport and spontaneous conversation that happen along the way and often spark the most impactful elements of therapy. Prior to co-founding HCC in 2017, I worked in community-based mental health and served a wide range of people with diverse clinical needs, providing in-home family therapy, therapeutic mentoring, group therapy, and residential treatment. In addition, I have a background in youth ministry, church planting, and pastoral care as well as urban ministry with homeless and incarcerated individuals. In all of this, what stands out most is the relationships. That is where God first meets us - in transformative relationship with Himself and, outwardly from there, transformative relationships with one another. Outside of my role at Harbor, I am also a husband and a father of three, an avid basketball and football fan, and a New Englander by choice (by way of Texas) trying to soak up as much seasonal beauty as possible.” Education: MA Counseling, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary | Master of Divinity, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary | BA, Westmont College Additional Training / Certifications: Prepare/Enrich Facilitator Specialties: Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Adult ADHD, Men’s Issues, Stage of Life and Identity Crises, Leader Care, Couples/Marriage Approaches: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Therapy, Spiritual Formation, Family Systems, Gottman Method for Couples, Motivational Interviewing</image:caption>

Several years of my experience were working with lives impacted by trauma, various mental health disorders, domestic violence, exploitation and addictions – in DCF involvement, Partial Hospitalization and Outpatient setting. Meanwhile, I have served in the local Latino church community providing counseling consultation and workshops focused on mental health issues related to youth/young adults, and families. My approach is shaped by diverse experiences, including mentoring at a residential treatment center, engaging in international missions, counseling at a faith-based camp for foster children, directing the arts ministry at Seven Hills Presbyterian church, and engaging as a fellow in the Pierce fellowship; a modern approach to the spiritual formation practices of St. Benedict. I have been mentored by artists, pastors, and spiritual directors in engaging creative practices for soul enrichment and spiritual formation. I believe the holistic healing nature of the Gospel enriches evidence-based practices, creating lasting transformation. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors, and engaging in the arts.” Education: MA Counseling, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary | BA Utah Valley University Additional Training / Certifications: Dance/Movement Therapy (Lesley University) Specialties: Anxiety, Family Systems, Adjustment, Trauma, Spiritual Formation, Single Adults, Women’s Issues, Couples/Marriage, Artists and Creatives, Minority Communities Approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Expressive Therapies, Internal Family Systems, Gottman Method</image:caption>

My work is shaped by over three decades of professional experience, my faith in Jesus Christ, and nearly four decades of commitment to my husband, as well as the journey that led us to becoming empty nesters. My life and work are guided by the presence of the Holy Spirit, whose wisdom and grace I rely on each day. While therapy provides practical tools for growth, true comfort in seasons of pain comes from the promises of our Lord. At the same time, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care to all individuals and couples, regardless of personal beliefs. Before beginning private practice in 1998, I had the privilege of serving families in crisis, youth at risk, trauma survivors, and children in individual therapy. These experiences have deepened my understanding of human resilience and the healing power of relational connection. When I’m not in session, I enjoy listening to worship music, gardening, hiking, birding, and spending time with my family.” Education: MA Counseling Psychology, Lesley University | BS Psychology, Salem State College Additional Training / Certifications: Certified Christian Sex Therapist (ABCST), Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress (BCETS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Specialties: Sex Therapy, Individual and Couples Therapy, Group Therapy Approaches: Faith-Inspired Compassion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Ericksonian-Inspired Solution-Oriented Therapy</image:caption>

My approach is shaped by my experience working in campus ministry with a parachurch organization in both rural and urban contexts. I have met with students of all backgrounds experiencing various issues with faith, identity, and mental health, and enjoy the process of individualizing care to meet each client’s needs. My work is driven by the hope of the gospel and the belief that as humans, we were made for wholeness and a full life. <image:title>FOR CHURCHES - Bridging the Gaps Between Faith and Mental Health Care for Church Communities</image:title>
<image:caption>Church leaders stand at the crossroads of faith and care, navigating a wide range of mental health issues that impact both their congregations and themselves. Balancing Biblical teaching with practical support for those struggling can feel overwhelming, especially with the increasing pressure and complexity of care needs. How can you care well for those in your church while maintaining your own mental and emotional well-being? The Church Mental Health Partnership (CMHP) is a new initiative by Harbor, designed specifically to serve churches and church leaders. Led by the Rev. Dr. Bryan Loney, a church insider with doctoral training in clinical psychology, the CMHP brings a unique perspective to addressing mental health challenges within the church. With a deep passion for supporting church staff and equipping leaders, Dr. Loney combines his extensive experience to help churches navigate diverse mental health needs with wisdom, compassion, and Biblical insight.</image:caption>

<image:title>FOR CHURCHES - About Rev. Dr. Bryan Loney</image:title>
<image:caption>I’m Bryan Loney, and my life has been shaped by both a lifelong battle with severe anxiety and a foundational calling to serve Christ and His church. My early career as a professor of Clinical Psychology allowed me to train others in understanding and addressing mental health challenges, a critical need that remains close to my heart. I became a Christian after beginning my work as a professor and quickly developed a related burden for pastoral ministry. Upon receiving tenure, the Lord called me to a second career as a church planter and then senior pastor in Boston, Massachusetts, where I’ve had the privilege of shepherding others and witnessing God’s transformative work in their lives. As I have grown as a pastor, I have been increasingly burdened for the complex mental health issues facing the church. This has deepened my desire to integrate my clinical training and pastoral experience to equip local churches in better caring for those struggling with mental health challenges. My hope is to help church leaders navigate these issues with Biblical wisdom, compassion, and practical tools, creating communities where people can find both healing and hope.</image:caption>

<image:title>Coping with Anxiety (Copy) - COPING with ANXIETY</image:title>
<image:caption>“Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strengths.” (CH. Spurgeon) Many of us have felt the crushing weight of anxiety at some point in our lives. It can often make us feel alone as our hearts are heavy, unsettled, and fearful of what tomorrow will bring. But you are not alone, and God never intended for you to walk that storm alone. Join us for this six-week group as we will help you learn what anxiety is, gain practical tools and interventions to cope, and listen to and learn from others while having the opportunity to share yourself.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Walking in Wholeness - Hi, I’m Shaneese Byrd, LMHC…</image:title>
<image:caption>I approach this work as a calling and feel deeply honored to integrate biblical truth with evidence-informed counseling practices. My style is client-centered and strengths-based, and I’m passionate about creating a supportive space where people can slow down, reflect, and develop practical tools for navigating life with greater balance and intention. I believe each person is the expert of their own story, and my hope is to help you cultivate self-awareness, healthier rhythms, and a deeper sense of wholeness as we walk this journey together. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Counseling and Psychological Studies.</image:caption>
